Many people who have once become Christians find, over the course of their lives, that they drift away from their faith—that it slips away from them—because of false friends, difficult circumstances, problems that arise, or disappointments. That direct, personal relationship with God is no longer truly there. They realize that addictions, sins, bad habits—or whatever else—have come between them and God.

And yet, there’s nothing they’d rather do than make a fresh start with God—and that’s a very good thing!

God is glad when you, as His child, run to Him and honestly say, “I’ve messed up; I want to start over. Please help me—I can’t do this on my own. I just want to start fresh with You.”

If this applies to you, then I warmly invite you to pray with me now and make a fresh start with God.

The Prayer:

Dear Lord,

You know that I once chose You with great zeal, that I gave You my life, and that I accepted You as my Lord and Savior. But you also know that, through my life, through difficult circumstances and problems, things have come between us, and that I have strayed from the good intentions I once had.

Lord, I want to make a fresh start with all my heart. I didn't manage it. It didn't work out the way I had hoped. Things happened that were beyond my control and simply led me astray.

I'm asking you to let me make a fresh start with you now.
I want to ask you for your strength, I want to ask you for your spirit, I want to ask you for your help.

Lord Jesus, I give my life to you once again. I give you control over my entire life once again. I ask you to stand by me, to teach me, guide me, and help me find my way into a victorious life that pleases you.

Lord, I ask you to work in my life and speak to me, so that even in difficult situations I may hear from you how I should act.

Lord, I ask you for a true fresh start. I want to repent for everything that went wrong and give my life back to you with all my heart.
Be my Lord and Savior.

It is absolutely good to run to God. If you are struggling with sin or facing problems, never run away from God—always run to Him.
If you have fallen, if you have stumbled into some trap of sin, then never run away from Him, but always run to Him, for it is in Him alone that you will find the help you need.

God has so much more in store for you!
