A great many people today are struggling with financial problems.

Their financial situation is difficult and distressing. They wonder how they can make ends meet so they can afford the bare necessities.

Maybe your pension won't be enough. Or you might face unemployment. Or you might be struggling under the burden of "Hartz 4." Or a business owner might be facing bankruptcy and may have to lay off hundreds of employees.

Financial problems can be a terrible thing that weighs heavily on us. If you're facing financial hardship, I'd like to invite you to pray with me right now.

The Prayer:

Dear Lord,

I'm coming to you empty-handed. I'm coming to you because my financial situation is really difficult and problematic, and I urgently need your help.

Lord, I acknowledge that it is not my labor, nor my savings account, my investments, stock prices, or the economy that is responsible for providing for me, but that You alone are the true Provider.

I accept that You are the One who wants to bless and provide for me, and who is fully sufficient for every area of my life.

Lord, I would therefore like to ask for your intervention. I ask you to remove this hardship and bestow your blessings. I ask you for financial provision to the extent that it is necessary. I ask you to open doors in a supernatural way that I have not yet seen and to create opportunities that were previously unknown to me.

Lord, I ask for your blessing and that you put an end to this financial hardship now.

I come before You in the name of Jesus and ask this of You as Your child.
Amen.

We are certain that once you have said this prayer, your situation will begin to change—slowly, or perhaps even quickly.
You must be wise in how you manage the finances entrusted to you. This is something God has given you so that you may invest it wisely and properly.

Many people have invested their money somewhere, hoping that it will provide for them in their old age or in case of emergencies. That is not biblical. For provision comes from God alone. Think about what you’ve placed your security in. Was it your investments? Was it your job? Was it on your own achievements? Was it on your pension?

Think about what you put your trust in. Perhaps this is an area where you also need to repent, where you need to tell God:

Lord, I have placed my trust in the wrong things here, and I ask You to help me see things from the right perspective. I ask You to show me where I should invest my money in a way that is truly meaningful and pleasing to You. In church projects, in emergency situations in the Third World, to build Your kingdom—wherever You lead.

If this applies to you, I’d like to ask you to continue to rely on the Lord in this matter as well and to make sure you handle the money, finances, opportunities, and resources He has entrusted to you with wisdom.

We are certain:
God has so much more in store for you!
